The Women's Imaging Centre provides medical imaging services tailored to women's needs by improving health care through accurate and early diagnosis. We want your experience with us to be as comfortable and professional as possible, so we've created patient environments to support that.

You’ll notice that the women-only waiting room, private interview rooms and state-of-the-art facility create a nonclinical, calm and comfortable atmosphere. The radiologists and staff are exceptionally skilled and sensitive to the needs of women of all ages, particularly when they might be anxious about a complex imaging procedure.


  • Bone Densitometry – DEXA

    Bone densitometry (or DEXA) is an enhanced form of x-ray technology that measures bone mineral density and determines the strength of your bones. Your doctor might want to establish a baseline bone density to determine whether you need treatment with medication. DEXA is most often performed on the lower spine and hips.

    While your dentist has adequate x-ray equipment to check your teeth for common dental problems, you might be referred to South Coast Radiology for more advanced imaging. A dental x-ray or OPG is a medical text that enables your dentist, orthodontist, oral surgeon or prosthodontist or doctor to diagnose and treat medical conditions.

  • MRI – Magnetic Resonance Imaging
